Pablo and Álison

Hello, we are Pablo Casal and Álison Campa. Since some years ago, we have a real estate in which our dogs stay. It is situated near Gijon , a few meters away from forests and fields, and just 5 kms away from the beach where we love to take for a walk our Shepherds. We have had various breed because really we like all kind of dogs, but I always had a predilection for working breeds.

Kuncor with me, winter 1995 / Álison with Movie in 1990

My first contact with a White Shepherd was in September of 1995. That was the day I adopted Kuncor, and what I remember and specially impressed me, was that its mother and a brother from a previous litter, where like German Shepherds but completely white, although not albinos. At that time I still didn't know the breed, maybe they weren´t American origin dogs, like almost all we can find nowadays. Maybe they were the fruit of a litter of normal German Shepherds in which the recessive gene that controls the white color declared. Still nowadays this happens, although very seldom. Years alter, i investigate more about the breed and we visit a breeder that exclusively worked with short hair White Shepherds, with specimen imported from USA , for adquiring the first she-pup, that came with AKC pedigree . During this time we have met more lovers of this breed and we want to thank some of them that they trusted our work and provided us first level specimens, many times difficult to obtain for an amateur.

I'd like to dedicate the last lines of this introduction to thank some persons that have become our friends and that since the very beginning have offered us their knowledge acquired after decades of breeding. That is the case of Fernando and Elena, owners of the affixes “Valle Oscuro” y “Golpe de Suerte”. Also we thank Ulla Warden her understanding for our needings and the extraordinary dog she provided us with, that is Braveheart, with who we are totally satisfied. We greet as well Mrs Katherine Con del Dago, for her kindness during all our visits to her home, and for the true love she feels for her dogs, that she feels as they were her own children.

Regards in general for all those who know us, our partners in CEPBS and all the lovers of this breed. Finally, I will never forget Eric Josserand, with who I have shared so much working time with the matters of the Spanish Club of the Swiss White Shepherd. I congratulate him for being such a kind person.
